About En passant Adventures

Plan on the clear two-dimensional board. The knight scene keeps one steady top angle through every jump and the door interaction. This is a movement adventure with no opponent turns. The original knight has an articulated face, ears, scarf and legs; a short preparation and landing accompany each leap. Hover or focus a legal landing to preview the L. Say hello to Pip brings out his curious expression without moving the camera. He reaches for the latch before opening the far door. The knight uses real L-shaped jumps; the queen slides along rows, columns, or diagonals. The last knight coin is on e8. The square stays clear: only after that coin is collected does a red carpet unroll beyond the board to the recessed doorway.

The Queen’s Royal Passage teaches three decisions: identify the checking rook, slide the queen from c4 to f7 to block it, then explain why the block works. A supporting rook on a8 pins the dark rook on f8 to its king on h8, so the queen is not simply offered for capture. The pin is an optional stretch explanation. The rook’s slump is a story reaction, not a capture. After your explanation, an altar rises behind the same smiling chess pieces, with a veil, gown details and a tuxedo overlay. These are story rewards, not extra chess moves. The series name also celebrates the special pawn capture, which you can try in the Level 5 trails.

Gentle motion keeps a steady camera and shortens the effects. System reduced-motion preferences are respected. No flashing strobe effect is used. Every opening starts fresh at the knight. Restart works during every animation. The two lesson tabs let you practise either chapter directly; the motion preference is remembered on this browser. No accounts or analytics. A browser with WebGL2 is needed for the 3D scene; the planning board and classic prototype remain available.

The protection position is checked with chess.js during development. Made with Three.js, MIT license included in this game. Source and project notes are saved in the project brain.
